He
completed 17
years of Holy Iconography study
Iconographer Ayman Bitar :
He
was born in 1963 in Homs city Syria .
He
started practicing the art of drawing in an early
age , and his tendencies towards ecclesiastical
drawing appeared in his first works.
At
the age of ten , he painted his first portrait of
Virgin Mary and her child .
At the
age of thirteen , he joined Subhi Shouaib center for
plastic arts in Homs city for four years , and later on
he continued practicing drawing as an amateur till
1988
, when he got a scholarship for specializing in
Iconography in Athens
Greece , by the assistance and
the grace of his eminence the metropolitan of Homs and
Environs Alexy Abdulkarim , who was highly admired with
Ayman's talent
In 1989
, he joined the faculty of fine arts in Athens for five
years .
In
1990
, he joined a private Iconography College for four years
.
In
1992
, he worked with his teacher in the a/m college , who is
one of the most famous Iconographers in the world , in
the field of Church drawings (wall portraits ) for five
years and that is how he acquired his experience and
got deeply into the secrets of this great art .
In
1995
, he joined the Faculty of Ruins and Art Works
Restoration for five years .
In
1998
, he was asked to become a teacher of Iconography in
Saint Yohanna Aldimashqi
Institute in Belmond Tripoli Koura , but he
apologized , due to his full-time work in Iconography.
The
iconographer performed his work in many Churches of the
world , such as :
Greece ,
U.S.A. , Germany , Lebanon and Syria .
And he
is still working in this field till present time .
